Acid Tank, Grease Trap, and Sewer Line Project
Western Wyoming Community College
Western Wyoming Community College District in Rock Springs, Wyoming, is soliciting sealed bids for an Acid Tank, Grease Trap, and Sewer Line Project. The project involves installing a new sewer lateral, modifying an existing acid dilution tank, and installing a new grease trap originating from Mitchell's Cafeteria. The scope includes excavating trenches, coring through the foundation, installing all applicable lines, providing cleanouts, backfilling, compacting soil, replacing concrete, and managing traffic control. The contractor will also be responsible for disposing of spoils legally, obtaining all necessary permits, and providing complete as-built drawings. Special attention must be paid to avoiding damage to embedded conduits or utilities. The project requires freeze protection for pipes shallower than 36 inches and coordination with the college's Facilities office for traffic control and access. The college will mark private utilities, but any unmarked utilities or sprinklers encountered will require notification to the facilities management for assessment. The contractor must also comply with the college's code of conduct and implement dust, particle, and odor controls.
