Description

The Utah Division of Air Quality has received a Notice of Intent for Geneva Rock Products, Inc. (GRP) to modify their aggregate processing plant located at 970 West Old Highway Road, Morgan, UT. The proposed changes include an increase in blasting explosives from 152 tons per year (tpy) of ANFO to 700 tpy of ANFO, the removal of a 1,135 kW generator engine, and the addition of two 736 hp Tier 4i diesel-fired generator engines equipped with SCR. An engineering evaluation and air quality impact analysis indicate that the project complies with federal and state air quality regulations. The Director intends to issue an Approval Order following a 30-day public comment period.
