Snow and Ice Control Deicing Chemicals

The Central Iowa Deicer Group (CIDG), administered by the City of West Des Moines Public Services, is soliciting bids for snow and ice control deicing chemicals. This solicitation covers various types of deicing products, including liquid calcium chloride, liquid magnesium chloride (both standard and corrosion-inhibited), natural deicing liquids, and alternative products. Bidders can provide pricing for full tanker loads and less than tanker loads (LTL). The contract is intended for the July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, season. The CIDG reserves the right to award a multi-vendor contract based on factors beyond just price, such as references, past experience, product availability, and performance.
