Fiber Dial Room Refurbishment and Fiber Connectivity Upgrades

Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors for the refurbishment of Fiber Dial Rooms and the implementation of point-to-point fiber connectivity upgrades at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). This project aims to enhance the laboratory's communications infrastructure. The scope of work may include removing legacy abandoned communication cables, refurbishing several Fiber Dial Rooms around TAN with structural and environmental improvements and hardware replacement, and installing and testing new fiber and communications. The project also involves the installation and configuration of point-to-point fiber connections, integration with existing network infrastructure and systems, and ensuring compliance with DOE cybersecurity, safety, and operational standards. Testing and documentation are required to guarantee full functionality and reliability. The Davis-Bacon Act and the INL Site Stabilization Agreement may apply to construction work performed at INL.
