Description

The City of Denton, TX is seeking commercial waste hauler contracts, also known as put-or-pay agreements, for its landfill. These contracts will be effective for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2028. This initiative aligns with the City of Denton's Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Strategy, aiming to generate revenue for the City of Denton's Solid Waste Enterprise Fund and secure disposal capacity in North Texas. The total tonnage allowed across all third-party disposal contracts will be capped at 150,000 tons. Waste haulers will have the option to utilize the City of Denton Landfill for any excess volume at the established external gate rate.
