Construction of Miller City Swimming Pool

The City of Miller, South Dakota is soliciting bids for the construction of a new outdoor swimming pool. The project encompasses several key areas: Pool Construction: This includes the building of a reinforced concrete pool with integral deep manhole, excavation, fill, and micropile foundations. It also covers the concrete deck, deck drains, waterslide assembly, dive board foundation, pool deck equipment, shade structures, and floatable anchors. Incidental demolition, grading, limited site work, painting, and electrical bonding are also part of this scope. Pool Mechanical Construction: This involves precast concrete containment tanks, excavation, underdrains, piping systems for recirculation, heating, and filtration. It also includes disinfection systems, a multi-level play structure with water features, and waterslide piping. Dewatering pumps, process controls, electrical equipment, and bonding are also included. General Construction: This covers excavation, fill, grading, trenching, stormwater management, and erosion control. It also includes sodding, seeding, security fencing, gate installation, concrete pads, driveway paving, and the construction of a mechanical building with MEP services. Pump house concrete work, bathhouse siding, and site utilities (sanitary sewer, potable water, drain waste vent, yard hydrants) are also part of this scope, along with LP tank relocation and electrical distribution. Pool Demolition: The project requires the demolition of the existing outdoor swimming pool, including the kiddie pool, main pool, pipe networks, concrete decks, slide foundation, and site concrete. Protection of existing utilities and structures (Bathhouse and Pump House) is also required.
