Description

The Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) for the Orlando VA Healthcare System is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for laundry and linen services for the Orlando VA Fisher House. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and laundering specified wash and fold services of flat goods, ensuring hospitality-grade quality standards. Linens must be processed separately from VA patient care linen and handled in accordance with industry best practices, including those established by the National Association of Institutional Linen Management and the International Fabricare Institute. Services include pickup and delivery of soiled and clean linen twice weekly, sorting, washing, drying, stain removal, finishing, folding, packaging, and labeling. The contractor must also replace damaged items and provide monthly usage and inventory reports. All services must comply with state, local, federal, and VA standards. The anticipated contract structure is one base year with four one-year option periods.
