Investment Advisor Services

The City of Bayonne is soliciting proposals for an Investment Advisor. The selected advisor will be responsible for analyzing the City's various funds and accounts to develop and execute an investment strategy, procure selected investments in coordination with the City's custodial bank(s), and provide ongoing monitoring of City assets and investments. The advisor will also be expected to hold ongoing meetings with City officials to report progress, make presentations to the City Council as necessary, and evaluate and advise on the risk of potential investments. Key responsibilities include monitoring funds for forthcoming investment needs, discussing new market activity and its potential impact on strategy, conducting an annual review of the City's Cash Management Plan, soliciting offerings from potential broker-dealers/banks for Permitted Investments, and managing the settlement process for securities and Permitted Investments. General requirements include licensure, experience, and reputation in the field, with demonstrated expertise in U.S. Treasury, Agency, and Municipal Bond Markets. The City also requires knowledge of the City of Bayonne and availability for required meetings.
