Cowlitz Falls Hydroelectric Project Warehouse Upgrades
Public Utility District No. 1 of Lewis County
The Public Utility District No. 1 of Lewis County is soliciting bids for the upgrade of the Upper Warehouse at the Cowlitz Falls Project. The scope of work includes the demolition and disposal of existing metal wall panels, metal roofing panels, insulation, man doors, and awnings. The project also involves the installation of new insulation, metal siding, metal roofing, new man doors (provided by the District), and new awnings over the man doors. Additionally, new pressure-treated skirt boards will be installed around the perimeter of the warehouse. The project requires careful coordination, particularly for the roofing work, which must be completed during a planned outage of the 230 KV overhead line to ensure safety. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the upgrades, adhering to specified safety and quality standards. The existing roll-up doors are to remain in place and be protected during construction.
