Dutch Gap Parkway Construction Project

Chesterfield County is soliciting bids for the construction of roadway and bridge on the Dutch Gap Parkway. The project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 involves approximately 5,075 linear feet of roadway construction from Adaline Acres to I-295. Phase 2 includes the construction of a 1,228-foot bridge with approximately 370 linear feet of approach roadways, extending from Henricus Historical Park to a new turnaround near Adaline Acres. The scope of work encompasses clearing, ground improvements, grading, asphalt paving, drainage structures, erosion and sediment control, bridge construction, signage, pavement markings, landscaping, and the adjustment of private utilities. Contractors must be pre-qualified by VDOT at the time of bid opening to be eligible for this contract. Several addenda have been issued for this solicitation, including updates on 1/23/2026, 1/30/2026, 2/12/2026, and 3/16/2026. These addenda provide information on document posting and how to obtain them. A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid conference was held on January 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM EST via Teams Meeting. Bid documents can be obtained in hard copy from Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) for a non-refundable fee of $250.00, with an additional $50.00 for UPS Ground delivery.
