Description

This solicitation is for a preparative scale High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) system for natural products discovery for laboratory use. The system should be modular with the ability to upgrade specific options in the future, such as the type of detector. It is anticipated that the instrument will not be connected to the internet or local area network. The minimum requirements for the HPLC system include: - All essential parts: pump(s), a UV-Vis detector (200-800 nm), an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector, a controller, and all necessary tubing and accessories, including software. - A fraction collector capable of accommodating 13 x 100 mm and 16 x 150 mm test tubes, with a minimum of 48 fractions. - Multiple pumps (at least 2) or a single pump capable of generating gradients from at least 2 inputs, supporting flow rates from 1.0 ml/min to 150 ml/min and a minimum pressure tolerance of 5000 psi. - A solvent delivery system that operates in constant flow or constant pressure modes, with high flow rate accuracy (+/- 2%) and equipped with a suction filter. - A UV-Vis detector (200-800 nm) and an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector. - A column selector with the ability to select and switch between at least three different columns. - Technical installation and initial testing of the system, including basic training on the software. - Auto-diagnostics for problem detection and auto-recovery function. - A warranty of at least 1 year, preferably 2 years or more. - A technician for installation and training of NCAUR personnel, who must be a U.S. Citizen. Delivery is requested by July 30, 2026, to USDA/ARS, 1815 N. University Street, Peoria, IL 61604.
