College Rodeo Stock and Production Services

Sam Houston State University is soliciting proposals for a professional rodeo company to provide rodeo stock and production services for a two-performance, NIRA-approved rodeo. The event is scheduled for November 12-14, 2026, and will include associated slack. The scope of services encompasses providing all necessary rodeo stock, production personnel, and equipment, while adhering to NIRA regulations. Key responsibilities for the contractor include serving as chute boss, providing pick-up men and bullfighters, managing chute labor, ensuring livestock care, and producing the grand entry. Additionally, the contractor must supply two teletron/scoreboards with replay capabilities and meet specific cable company requirements for broadcast, including a dedicated internet link, encoders, a graphics package, and a minimum of three cameras. The contract is structured with an initial three-year period and two one-year option periods, not to exceed five years in total.
