Description

Escambia County is seeking qualified firms to provide planning assistance, including data collection, engineering and design services, and environmental services for the Carpenter Creek Hydrologic Restoration and Stormwater Improvements project. The project aims to improve water quality, reduce downstream flow rates, enhance coastal flood protection, and improve overall water quality in the Carpenter Creek Bayou Texar Watershed and Pensacola Bay. The project encompasses designs for Robins Ridge Stream Floodplain Restoration, Coronet Drive retrofit stormwater filtering, and Cardinal Cove Stormwater Pond retrofit stormwater filtering. The selected firm will be responsible for producing 30%, 60%, and 1p0% design plans, bid packages, and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and grant requirements. Funding for this project is secured through a Natural Resource Damage Assessment settlement with BP, administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Division of Water Restoration Assistance.
