Description
This project involves the construction of a living shoreline and the control of invasive species at Bayswater Point State Park. The scope of work includes providing temporary facilities, demolition, salvage, removals, and disposals. It also involves paving an accessible route to the fishing pier, regrading, and constructing living shorelines with breakwater systems and plantings. Invasive species will be removed using mechanical and chemical treatments, followed by planting approved species in various zones including the low marsh, high marsh, coastal meadow, coastal forest, and lawn. Additionally, new boardwalks and a fishing pier will be constructed. The estimated bid range for the base bid is $7,827,619 to $10,590,308, and for Alternate 1, it is $328,436 to $444,354. The project completion is scheduled for 996 calendar days after approval by the NYS Comptroller's Office, with liquidated damages of $4,000 per calendar day.
