Description

The United States Air Force is seeking information regarding a commercial cloud-based weather intelligence service for Air Forces Central (AFCENT) at Shaw Air Force Base. This is a new contract effort. The service should provide API and platform access to deliver advanced forecasting capabilities, including AI-native global probabilistic atmospheric prediction and regional ensemble modeling. It must also support custom vector event designs for seamless data integration into specified Government systems, provide automated, threshold-driven environmental alerting, and offer mission- and asset-based environmental assessments tailored for designated overseas Areas of Responsibility (AORs). Additionally, the Air Force requires maintenance and upgrade services for the Road Weather Information System (RWIS) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This includes upgrading existing Remote Processing Units (RPUs) to a newer system, installing new in-pavement sensors, and providing data management and preventative maintenance services. The contract will include a base year and four option years.
