Description

The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is soliciting technical information and comments regarding proposed flood hazard determinations for the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and, where applicable, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for the unincorporated areas of Maricopa County, Arizona. These determinations may include changes to Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, or zone designations, as well as the regulatory floodway. These revisions are issued through a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) and are essential for communities to maintain their participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. Further information on these proposed flood hazard determinations and the 90-day statutory appeal period can be found on FEMA's website at https://www.floodmaps.fema.gov/fhm/BFE_Status/bfe_main.asp, or by calling the FEMA Mapping and Insurance exchange (FMIX) toll-free at 1-877-FEMA MAP (1-877-336-2627).
