Maplewood Park Improvements

The City of Malden is soliciting bids for comprehensive improvements to Maplewood Park. The project scope includes the replacement of the existing multi-use synthetic turf field with a new surface and pad. Additionally, related site improvements will encompass walkway reconstruction, dugout repairs and enhancements, and the re-lamping of the sports lighting system. Perimeter vegetation trimming is also part of the scope. An add alternate includes the replacement of the pitcher's mound on Rotondi Field at Howard Park with a new synthetic turf mound, as well as improvements to Maplewood Park's fencing and ball netting. The contract documents will be available electronically starting April 2, 2026, from IMEG Consultants Corp. via email request to Scott.L.Murphy@imegcorp.com. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM onsite at Maplewood Park. Bids are due by 1:30 PM local time on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development, Malden City Hall, 215 Pleasant Street, 3rd Floor, Malden, MA 02148. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of five percent (5%) of the total bid. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, will be required of the successful bidder.
