Description
The City of Keene is soliciting bids for the Downtown Infrastructure Improvements and Reconstruction Project, which will encompass Main Street, Railroad Square, and Central Square. This project involves three phases of construction over three years. The scope of work includes: * Drain system improvements: Removal and replacement of approximately 6,300 linear feet of drain culvert with HDPE culverts (diameters 10" to 36") and installation of 80 stormwater structures. * Water system improvements: Removal, replacement, and installation of approximately 6,000 linear feet of water main (diameters 6" to 16"), 65 gate valves and boxes, 16 hydrants, and 1,500 linear feet of water services. * Sewer system improvements: Installation of approximately 6,600 linear feet of PVC sewer (diameters 6" to 12") and 40 sewer manholes. * Approximately 18,000 square yards of concrete sidewalks and textured concrete sidewalks, raised stamped concrete intersections, and rapid flashing pedestrian beacons. * Installation of approximately 11,000 linear feet of granite curb and removal of 7,000 linear feet of existing granite curb, with subsequent stockpiling and resetting. * Electrical improvements including panel enclosures, temporary and replacement lighting, conduit, wiring, and ancillary electrical components. * Removal and replacement of traffic signals at Central Square, with signals, posts, and mast arms to be furnished by the City. * Landscaping within project limits, including approximately 170 trees, 480 shrubs, 7,000 perennial plantings, loam, seed, tree soil cells, and mulch. * Signage removal and replacement. * Removal and replacement of existing irrigation systems. * Removal and disposal of approximately 9,100 linear feet of existing CMP storm drain and 75 existing stormwater structures. * Associated maintenance of traffic, erosion controls, SWPPP management, road reconstruction, and pavement markings restoration.
