Description

The Syria Regional Platform (SRP) in cooperation with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) is announcing the 2026 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2026). This competition invites U.S. government exchange program alumni to submit proposals for projects that support U.S. policy objectives and promote shared interests. Awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000. Eligible applicants must be alumni of a U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange program. Project teams must consist of at least two alumni, with at least two non-U.S. citizen alumni. Projects must be implemented outside the United States and its territories. While not-for-profit organizations can partner, they are not eligible to apply on behalf of alumni. Projects should celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and align with U.S. administration policy goals such as strengthening U.S. global technology leadership, expanding economic opportunities, supporting peace initiatives, or defending freedom of speech. Proposals must be submitted using the official AEIF 2026 application and budget forms.
