Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is soliciting proposals for the Species Recovery Grants to States Program. This program provides federal assistance to eligible state agencies to support conservation activities for species listed as endangered or threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Funded activities may include management efforts, scientific research, monitoring of candidate or recently delisted species, and public education and outreach. Proposals should align with ESA Recovery Plans or Recovery Outlines. Projects focusing on Pacific salmonids or marine mammal stranding response are not eligible for this program. Awards are expected to range up to approximately $250,000 per year, with project periods extending up to three years. A non-Federal cost share of at least 25% is required for single-state proposals, and 10% for multi-state proposals.
