The City of Sandy Springs is seeking sealed bids for the purchase, delivery, installation, and commissioning of one foam densification system. The system must be capable of compacting expanded polystyrene (EPS) and should be equivalent to the Runi SK370 Screw Compactor for Degassed EPS. The award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that meets all minimum technical requirements. The required system must have a minimum throughput capacity of 440 pounds per hour and achieve a final material density of approximately 21 lbs/ft³. It needs to operate on a 3-phase, 480V, 60 Hz power supply and include a screw compactor, an integrated pre-crusher, a hydraulic pressure chamber, a temperature sensor package, a meltdown sensor with speed control, a block divider, and a control panel with a minimum 5.7-inch display screen. Remote access capability is also required. The bid price must include freight to Sandy Springs, Georgia, offloading, placement at the installation location, and coordination with City personnel. Delivery is expected within 14-21 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Installation and commissioning services are required, estimated to take approximately 3 days on-site. The contractor will be responsible for mechanical assembly, operational startup, and system testing. The equipment must come with a minimum two-year warranty or 6,000 operational hours, whichever occurs first. On-site training for City personnel on operation, maintenance, safety procedures, and troubleshooting is also included in the lump sum bid price. Bidders must submit a single, firm, and fixed lump sum price covering all aspects of the project, including equipment, freight, installation, startup, training, and all associated costs.
