]ennis nfh mt replace insulation
This project involves the removal and replacement of insulation in the Lower Raceway Building at the Ennis National Fish Hatchery in Montana. The existing batt insulation and vinyl covering have degraded due to moisture and freeze-thaw cycles, posing safety risks to personnel and fish. The scope of work includes removing the old insulation and associated coverings, lawfully disposing of the materials, and installing new closed-cell spray foam insulation. Specific requirements include: * **Exterior Walls:** 2 nominal inches minimum of closed-cell, high-lift spray foam insulation (R-14 IV HFO WIN HI). * **Roof:** 3 nominal inches minimum of closed-cell, high-lift spray foam insulation (R-21 IV HFO WIN HI). * **Overhead Doors:** 2 nominal inches minimum of closed-cell, high-lift spray foam insulation (R-14 IV HFO WIN HI). The contractor must be licensed, accredited, and certified in Montana for insulation removal and installation, and must comply with all federal, state, and county regulations. Coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representative is required at least one day prior to work, and work will be performed in segments to accommodate hatchery operations and fish relocation. Protective measures must be taken to contain debris during removal and installation. The contractor is responsible for verifying dimensions and is strongly encouraged to conduct a site visit prior to bidding.
