This solicitation is for catalog/discount vendors to provide commodities and services to Allen Independent School District. Vendors are encouraged to respond even if they are a sole source provider. Specifications are provided as an attachment. Previously awarded vendors should contact the Purchasing Department to check contract maturity dates. Vendors who have been awarded contracts through a purchasing cooperative do not need to respond. This bid is for product-related companies, distinct from the General Services Bid which is for service-oriented companies. Electronic bidding is strongly encouraged to reduce errors and paper waste. Contractors are responsible for the timely delivery of their bid responses. Late responses will be rejected. In case of office closure due to unforeseen circumstances, the deadline will be extended to the next operational business day. Additional information may be required for evaluation prior to final selection. The District reserves the right to postpone the deadline via addendum. Procurement results will be available after Board of Trustees approval. This Proposal, upon acceptance and approval by the Allen Independent School District School Board of Trustees, will constitute a binding contract. The successful vendor(s) will enter into an annual contract, with automatic renewal for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, unless terminated by either party. Allen ISD may extend the RFP for up to 120 days if it is in the best interest of the district. The initial contract period is August 25, 2026 - August 24, 2027, with subsequent annual periods through August 24, 2031. Contact with Allen ISD employees, other than the Purchasing Department, is strictly prohibited during the solicitation period.
