The City of Pontiac is soliciting proposals for the fall planting of trees for 2026, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. This project, part of the Michigan Urban Forest Restoration Project and funded by the American Forests Urban & Community Forest Initiative, aims to plant 300-450 trees of various species to restore Pontiac's urban forest, improve environmental quality, strengthen urban habitat, and enhance resilience. The scope of work includes providing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies for tree planting, as well as site preparation, maintenance, and disposal of excess materials. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities and may negotiate the final scope of services and fees with the selected firm. The contract term is for 150 days from the date of execution, with planting to be completed between November 1 and December 1.
