Landscape Maintenance Services for Twin Mills Road and Vicinity

This contract is for comprehensive landscape maintenance services at Twin Mills Road, Lava Beach Lane, and three Best Management Practices (BMPs). The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide continuous vegetative maintenance across all rights-of-way, landscape easements, roadway medians, and other designated areas as detailed in Attachment A. Key maintenance activities include mowing and trimming turf areas on a 14-day or 28-day cycle, weed control in landscape beds and hard surfaces, pruning of trees and shrubs, mulching of planted areas, and litter removal. Traffic control measures in accordance with Virginia Department of Transportation standards are required, with the contractor responsible for all associated costs and permits. The contract also specifies requirements for bare spot restoration, rut repair, and the removal of basal suckers and water sprouts. Chemical applications, including herbicides, must be performed by a Virginia Certified Pesticide Applicator. The contractor is responsible for replacing any damaged plantings or properties and for adhering to strict safety and personnel standards. The contract period is from June 15, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with potential for extension.
