Description

The City of Danbury is soliciting bids for various chemicals required by its Water Department. The chemicals include Sulfate of Alumina, Hydrofluorosilicic Acid, Copper Sulfate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Orthophosphoric Acid, and Potassium Permanganate. All chemicals intended for addition to drinking water must be ANSI/NSF Standard 60 certified. Deliveries are to be made to specified water treatment plants and the sewer collection system, with specific packaging and quantity requirements for each chemical. The contract period is from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with the option for two additional one-year extensions by mutual consent.
