Route 60 Sidewalk Improvements

Chesterfield County, Virginia is soliciting bids for the Route 60 Sidewalk Improvements project, which involves the construction of concrete sidewalks along both sides of Route 60 from Ruthers Road to 300-ft east of Karl Line Drive. The scope of work includes grading, excavation, asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drainage structures, erosion and sediment control, signage, pavement markings, pedestrian and traffic signals, and maintenance of traffic. The project also includes modifications to existing traffic signals and the installation of new pedestrian signals at two intersections, as well as roadway widening along the southbound side of Turner Road. Contractors must be pre-qualified by VDOT at the time of bid opening to be eligible. A non-mandatory virtual pre-bid conference will be held on April 23, 2026, at 3:00 PM EST via Microsoft Teams. Bid documents can be obtained from A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. for a non-refundable fee, or electronically at no cost. Questions regarding the bid documents must be submitted in writing to A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. by 5:00 PM on May 1, 2026.
