Machine Shop Services for City of St. Petersburg

The City of St. Petersburg is soliciting bids for comprehensive machine shop services to support its operations, primarily for the Water Resources department (water, water treatment, and lift station facilities), as well as the City Sanitation and Fleet Management Departments. The services will be provided on an as-needed basis at both City and vendor facilities. Key services include refurbishing filter tanks, fabricating aluminum back plates and stainless steel cap covers, repairing stainless steel mixers, fabricating and installing powder-coated guardrails, duplicating and fabricating parts, and fabricating and installing equipment enclosures. The vendor must have a minimum of five years of experience in providing machine shop services, possess the ability to obtain required insurance, and be free from legal and regulatory issues that could hinder contract fulfillment. Preferred qualifications include experience with municipal or industrial equipment repair, precision machining capabilities, welding qualifications (AWS certified), and the ability to perform dynamic balancing and shaft repair. The contract will have an initial term of three years, with two one-year renewal options. The vendor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment, including pickup and delivery services within St. Petersburg and to one designated facility in Odessa, Florida. The vendor must also provide a one-year warranty on workmanship.
