Nuts per MIL-DTL-24231

This solicitation is for nuts manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-24231, part number M24231/11-031, with specific material and testing requirements. The material must be QQ-N-286, Form 2, Annealed and Age Hardened, with mechanical properties meeting MIL-DTL-24231, paragraph 3.3.2. Certifications are required for ultrasonic inspection, dye penetrant inspection, and annealing and age hardening. Weld repair is not permitted on QQ-N-286 material. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material, invoking special control procedures to ensure receipt of correct material. The contract will be a "DO" rated order certified for national defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). Final delivery of material will be on or before 365 days after the effective date of the resulting contract. This amendment has been issued to dissolve the small business set aside and extend the closing date to May 27, 2026. The closing date has also been updated to May 8, 2026, and then to May 12, 2026. The inactive date has been extended to June 11, 2026.
