Padre Island National Seashore Exhaust Fan Replacement

This solicitation is for the replacement of an existing rooftop laboratory exhaust fan serving a laboratory chemical fume hood at Padre Island National Seashore. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment to safely remove and replace the fan, ensuring proper installation and weatherproofing. Upon completion, the contractor must inspect, test, and certify the fume hood system to ensure safe operation and compliance with applicable laboratory ventilation standards, including verifying fume hood face velocity to approximately 100 feet per minute according to ANSI Z9.5 guidance. A written report of measurements, test results, and certification must be submitted to PAIS. The work is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The preferred model for the replacement fan is Greenheck CUE-095-VG or an approved alternative of comparable quality. All craftsmanship, equipment, and materials will carry a minimum one-year warranty. This amendment provides answers to contractor questions and schedules a site visit.
