Public Transportation Operating Services

The Carson City Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Public Transportation Operating Services. The contract will be federally funded through various Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants. The selected firm will be responsible for managing and operating the transit system, including fixed-route services and ADA complementary paratransit services (JAC Assist). Key responsibilities include service management, performance monitoring, customer relations, fare revenue collection, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. The contract is expected to begin on October 1, 2026, with a four-year base term and two one-year option periods.
