Pest Control Services and IPM Program

The State of Rhode Island is seeking qualified vendors to perform pest control services and an integrated pest management (IPM) program for state agencies. The goal of the IPM program is to deliver effective pest control while reducing the volume and toxicity of pesticides used, as well as human and environmental exposure to pesticides. The contractor will furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the surveillance, trapping, and pesticide application components of the IPM program. The contractor shall also provide detailed, site-specific recommendations for structural and procedural modifications necessary to achieve pest prevention. Pests covered for prevention and/or elimination shall include, but not be limited to, rats, mice, roaches, fleas, ticks, ants, silverfish, centipedes, millipedes, earwigs, spiders, crickets, and all other common insects. Populations of the following pests will also be considered as services to this contract: birds, bats, snakes and all other vertebrates other than commensal rodents; termites, carpenter ants nesting within structures and other wood-destroying organisms; mosquitoes and other free flying insects originating out of doors; pests that primarily feed on outdoor vegetation; wildlife trapping and bed bugs.
