Compounded Sterile Products and Parenteral Nutrition for NIH Clinical Center

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center requires compounded sterile products, specifically non-patient-specific sterile compounded products and patient-specific parenteral nutrition and renal replacement therapy. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS, Inc.) for these products on a firm fixed-price basis. CAPS, Inc. is identified as the original manufacturer and has not designated other distributors for these compounded products in the U.S. The acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), which allows for solicitation from a single source when only one source is reasonably available. The estimated period of performance is one year, anticipated to begin in June 2026.
