]redesign and source qualification of f-16 cdeeu
The US Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential vendors capable of redesigning and qualifying a source of supply for the Common Data Entry Electronic Unit (CDEEU), NSN: 7025015093748WF, to support all USAF blocks of F-16 aircraft. Current supply shortages are impacting fleet readiness, leading to Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Part(s) (MICAPS) conditions. The Air Force requires an industry partner to independently execute a redesign and manufacturing source qualification to restore supply chain stability, as they cannot provide technical data or repair processes. The ideal partner will ensure the redesigned CDEEU meets all Form, Fit, Function, and Interface Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements across all F-16 blocks. They must also demonstrate the capability to obtain, reverse-engineer, or create necessary engineering resources and technical data to establish a reliable manufacturing pipeline. Interested parties should submit a capability statement including company information (name, CAGE code, UEI, POC), business size/status, relevant past performance in independent redesign and source qualification of military aerospace electronics without government-provided technical data, and a brief executive summary of their technical approach. Responses are to be submitted electronically by June 25, 2026.
