City of Independence Property Sale and Demolition

The City of Independence, Iowa is soliciting proposals for the purchase and demolition of a city-owned property located at 416 9th Avenue SE. The sale is on an "as is" basis, and the successful bidder must demolish the primary structure, including the basement foundation, and the accessory structure, including any concrete pad or footings, within ninety (90) days of closing. Proposals must include the proposed purchase price, a detailed plan for demolition and intended use of the property, a timeline for the project, developer's experience and references, and a statement of financial capacity. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal that is in the best interest of the City.
