Removal, Disassembly, and Relocation of Lake County Bridge 36

The Kankakee River Basin and Yellow River Basin Development Commission is requesting bids for the removal, disassembly, and relocation of Lake County Bridge 36. The project includes the removal and disassembly of a historically select truss bridge. Once removed, the truss will be disassembled, match-marked, delivered, and stored at the Lake County Highway Department. Following the disassembly and delivery, the existing site will be restored and planted. Bids will be received until May 26th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. local time at Butler, Fairman, and Seufert Inc., located at 8488 Georgia Street, Suite C, Merrillville, IN. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time.
