Aluminum Sheets for Signs

This solicitation is for aluminum sheets for signs. The aluminum must meet ASTM B-209 specifications and be new domestic material, alloy 5052-H38 or 6061-T6. Each sheet must be anodized with Alodine 1200, Chromate 5015, or an equal chemical conversion treatment that imparts a golden discoloration. The chemical conversion treatment must be qualified under U.S. Specification MIL-C-5541B or ASTM B449-67, Class I or II. Thickness, length, and width must meet or exceed ordered specifications, with oversized acceptable and undersized items subject to return at the vendor's expense. Mill certification must be supplied with each load. All material must comply with Iowa DOT and Minnesota DOT specifications for final acceptance. Sample material may be required for inspection before shipments. Shipments must be on open, tarped flatbed trucks only, with a weight per skid or bundle not exceeding 3000 lbs. Skids must be unloaded by forklift and have a minimum of three runners, each at least 3 1/2"x3 1/2" and running the entire length of the skid. The solicitation lists specific item codes, dimensions, and quantities for various aluminum sheets, including .063, .080, and .125 thickness in various lengths and widths.
