Annual Financial Audit Services for the City of Pontiac

The City of Pontiac is soliciting proposals for professional auditing services to conduct annual financial audits of its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for each fiscal year during the contract term. The selected firm will be awarded a three-year contract, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance. The City of Pontiac, located in Oakland County, Michigan, operates under a charter amended in 1982 and manages various governmental, special revenue, capital, internal service, and custodial funds. The City's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, and financial transactions are managed using the BS&A system. The Finance Department oversees accounting, treasury, income tax, purchasing, and payroll, and will coordinate with the selected auditor to prepare audit documentation. The scope of services includes an opinion on the fair presentation of financial statements, preparation of the ACFR, a management letter, and reports on internal controls and compliance with federal awards if applicable.
