Legal Counsel Services for Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education

Iredell-Statesville Schools is soliciting proposals from qualified law firms and/or attorneys licensed in North Carolina to provide comprehensive legal services. The Board seeks counsel with extensive experience in North Carolina public education law, including expertise in governance, personnel, student matters, litigation, contracts, policy, compliance, and operational issues. The selected firm will serve as general counsel or Board Attorney, attending meetings, advising on parliamentary procedure, ensuring compliance with state laws, and providing guidance on superintendent contracts. Services also encompass employment law, student services, school operations, contract review, construction and procurement matters, and representation in litigation and administrative proceedings. The anticipated contract term is three years, from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029, with the possibility of renewal.
