The Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority (CWVRAA) is seeking a contractor for the construction of a new Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) at West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW). This building, approximately 23,560 square feet, will be used for the storage of snow removal equipment and will be located landside, outside the airfield security area. The project is funded by a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant and will be subject to FAA grant requirements. The scope of work includes site clearing, demolition of existing pavement, installation of erosion and sediment control devices, and the construction of the PEMB with concrete footings. Additionally, the project involves installing new utilities (water, sanitary, electrical, telecommunication, and storm drain), new fencing and a gate, security cameras and card readers, bollards, sidewalks, and pavement markings. Anticipated trades include demolition, concrete, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and PEMB specialists. The anticipated construction duration is 240 consecutive calendar days, with a Notice to Proceed to be issued following receipt of the FAA grant.
