Commercial Food Bid 2026-2027

Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for commercial food products for the 2026-2027 school year. The bid covers a wide range of food items, including frozen, dry, and refrigerated products, intended for use in school meals. MSCS aims to establish strong partnerships with suppliers to leverage economies of scale and reduce operating costs. The district serves approximately 92,000 lunches and 53,000 breakfasts daily across over 200 schools. Bids will be evaluated on a line-item basis, with awards made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on cost per serving, unit, case, or pound. All bids must meet or exceed the specifications outlined in the IFB, and any deviations must be clearly noted. Vendors are required to submit detailed product information, including nutritional analysis and Child Nutrition (CN) labels, and adhere to strict delivery and product quality standards.
