Sewer and Water Construction Services

Pierce County is soliciting bids for sewer and water construction services. This contract will be awarded on an as-needed and emergency basis, with work assigned via purchase order. The estimated contract amount is $600,000, exclusive of Washington State Sales Tax. Bidders must register on the Pierce County OpenGov Procurement Portal to receive bid updates and submit questions. All questions are due by April 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM PDT/PST via the OpenGov software. Oral explanations are not binding. The initial contract period is one year, with an option to renew for an additional year, for a total contract not to exceed two years. Bids are due by 1:00 PM PDT/PST on May 6, 2026, and must be submitted through the Pierce County OpenGov Procurement Portal. A bid opening will be conducted via Zoom 30 minutes after the bid due date. Prevailing wages are determined by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. A 5% bid bond is required with the solicitation, and the successful bidder must provide a contract bond for $600,000. A 5% retainage will be held for the full contract period. The contractor is responsible for all taxes, fees, insurance, and bonding costs.
