Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Fayetteville VAMC, is conducting market research to identify businesses capable of providing and installing two replacement Acrovyn Barrier Resistant Doors for mental health patient rooms. These doors require specific features such as ligature resistance, anti-barricade/access capabilities, concealed or continuous gear hinges, door-top sensors, and potentially a "door within a door" design. The doors must be constructed from high-strength materials like fully welded, hollow metal steel frames and comply with various standards including NFPA 101-2012, Joint Commission 2021 Behavioral Health standards, UL 10C, NFPA 80, ANSI/UL 263, ASTM E119, and ISO 300-2007, as well as local building codes. Contractors will need to conduct a site visit to fully understand the requirements.
