Jet Maintenance and Repair Services

This notice represents the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) intended decision to award a single-source contract for jet maintenance and repair services. The services are required for the Governor's fixed-wing aircraft to ensure it remains in an airworthy condition, as mandated by FAA Code of Federal Regulations 91.7. These annual maintenance and repair services are critical for the safety of the Governor and his frequent travel. The contract is intended for Textron Aviation, as FDLE has existing proprietary maintenance programs with them. Awarding maintenance and repair services to another vendor would void the current warranty in place with Textron. The cost for these services is estimated at $1,500,000.00.
