Convert Intel Spaces to Controlled Area, Bldg 145, NAS Oceana

This solicitation is for the conversion of approximately 1,830 square feet of intel space into a controlled area with radio frequency (RF) protection within Building 145 at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. The project involves renovations to existing building systems, including structural, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection, to accommodate the new controlled area requirements. Specific work includes enhancing perimeter walls to meet a minimum Sound Transmission Coefficient (STC) rating of 50 and providing RF shielding of 60 dB for perimeter walls, floor, and ceiling systems, meeting IEEE 299 performance requirements. Existing rooms designated as Shared Collateral Space (W227) and Vault (W229) will be renovated into normal office areas. All interior walls within the controlled area must also be full-height and meet a minimal STC rating of 50. Penetrations through the controlled area perimeter must be grounded, and all interior doors and frames within the controlled area must meet STC 50 requirements, with specific attention to RF shielding for perimeter doors and frames.
