Mechanical and Hand Thinning Services for National Forests

The USDA Forest Service (FS), Procurement & Property Services (PPS), intends to award a competitive Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Call Order for mechanical and hand thinning services. This BPA will cover areas within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Umatilla National Forest, and any other National Forest within a 250-mile radius of either forest's boundaries. The services required involve cutting non-seed orchard tree vegetation to reduce fire risk and intensity, and to mitigate the spread of undesirable vegetation. All grass, forb, and woody vegetation smaller than 1/2 inch in ground line diameter, along with woody debris smaller than 1 inch in maximum diameter, will be mowed. Larger diameter shrubs and obstacles like rocks or steep slopes may be avoided. This is a synopsis notification of intent to award a BPA Call Order and does not constitute a request for proposals.
