Procurement of Breeding Bulls

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for breeding bulls. The TDCJ Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Logistics Department is interested in attending auctions from September 1, 2025, through August 31, 2026, to purchase Angus, Red Angus, Brahman, and Hereford bulls. The bulls must be virgin, purebred, and born between September 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024. They must be registered with their respective breed associations. Bulls will be inspected visually and undergo a breeding soundness evaluation by a contracted veterinarian. Vendors must provide registration papers transferred to the TDCJ and adhere to all terms and conditions specified in the solicitation.
