The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Boise District is initiating vegetation management operations in the Silver City area to restore upland aspen communities through targeted conifer thinning. The work will be performed on approximately 193 acres located in Owyhee County, Idaho, southwest of Boise. The performance period is scheduled to commence on August 1, 2026, and will last for 45 calendar days, concluding by September 15, 2026. The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the vegetation removal, including cutting, limbing, and scattering slash according to specified dimensions, and ensuring stump heights do not exceed 8 inches. No mechanical equipment is authorized unless specifically approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
