The State of Rhode Island is soliciting proposals for MPA 136, an open enrollment agreement for comprehensive heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) services. This includes maintenance, repair, and replacement of HVAC systems, subsystems, and components. Vendors must be qualified to service a wide range of HVAC equipment and provide emergency services 24/7. The contract requires specific licensing, including Master Mechanical Contractor (MMA), Contractor Master (CM), Pipefitter Master (PM1), or Refrigeration Master (RM1) licenses issued by the State of Rhode Island. Services anticipated include general service and repair, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacement. For general and emergency repairs, charges will be on a time and material basis. Maintenance services can be contracted for terms up to three years. Vendors are responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, parts, and materials, and must adhere to manufacturer recommendations and all applicable codes and regulations. Additionally, vendors must be prepared to train State personnel in routine preventative maintenance procedures and comply with minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprise participation requirements.
