2026 Pool Chemicals

The City of Elgin is requesting bids for the supply and delivery of various pool chemicals for its three public swimming pools. Deliveries are expected to be made weekly or as needed from the first or second week of June 2026 through Labor Day weekend for outdoor pools, and from the contract signing date through April 1, 2027, for the indoor pool. Chemicals are to be delivered FOB destination to Wing Park Family Aquatic Center, The Centre of Elgin, and Lords Park. Each facility will require its own separate invoice and account number. Specific chemicals requested include Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrochloric Acid, Pro Series Prozymes, Sodium Bicarbonate, Stabilizer, and Sodium Bisulphate. Substitutions will not be accepted. Deliveries must be made Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, and must include MSDS sheets. The delivery trucks must be equipped with a lift gate and pallet jack when applicable, and the company will be responsible for inside delivery. Trucks must also have proper HAZMAT placards.
